From the moment children enter Temple Beth-El, we present fun opportunities to stimulate curiosity, learning and imagination. Our programs include:
- Board of Jewish Education Early Childhood Center – Temple Beth-El is home to the Board of Jewish Education Early Childhood Center’s Northbrook location. The BJE has been providing and developing Jewish preschool education since 1972. Their educators are trained in both secular and Jewish early childhood education. They prepare your children to be successful in life…becoming lifelong learners. Please go to their website, click here, for more information or contact Joanne Barston, onsite director, at 847-272-4455.
- Shabbat Yeladim – An fun Shabbat experience for families with children ages 7 and younger. Older siblings and grandparents are welcome to attend and participate with their families. This monthly program takes place the first Friday of the month. First we start with complimentary pizza and pasta dinner at 5:30 p.m. At 6:00 p.m. we move into the sanctuary to gather for an age appropriate worship experience that includes singing and dancing, a story, and an introduction to prayers. The evening concludes with a craft project and oneg where young families can meet and mingle, and still get their children home for 7:30 p.m. bedtimes.
- Summertime Yeladim – Throughout the summer, we offer various fun programs for families of young children. Join us on our adventures, which might include visits to the Botanic Gardens, Wagner Farm, or even a Metra train ride!
- Stay tuned for news of additional opportunities, classes and gatherings!
