Whether you love to make music or love to make great friends, there is a place for everyone in Kol Beth-El. Kol Beth-El, literally meaning the “Voice of Beth-El”, is our volunteer choir, guitar band, and instrumentalists. Together, this dedicated group enhances worship and helps others to find a voice in prayer. When not making wonderful music, Kol Beth-el is often laughing together and making strong friendships within the group.
Kol Beth-El is lead under the directorship of Richard Green. Rehearsals vary depending on the need, the program and music, and the performance. The guitar band helps lead the contemporary high holiday service, and rehearses for this once a week for about 5-6 weeks prior to the holidays. Members from this same group also join us on several Shabbatot for the Family Music Service. The choir helps to lead the traditional high holiday service, and rehearses for the holidays once a week about 8-10 weeks prior to the services. Throughout the year, the choir sings at special Shabbat services as well as at concerts around the area.
