Kol Beth-El – Music Volunteers
If you love to make music and love to make great friends, you’ll find a special place with Kol Beth-El. Kol Beth-El translates to “Voice of Beth-El” and is our volunteer choir, guitar band, and instrumentalists. Together, this dedicated group enhances worship and helps others to find a voice in prayer. When not making wonderful music, Kol Beth-El is often laughing together and making strong friendships within the group.
Kol Beth-El is led under the directorship of Richard Green, conductor, and Craig Scheidecker, pianist. Get involved with one or both of our groups:
- The guitar band helps lead the contemporary High Holiday service, and rehearses once a week for about 5-6 weeks prior to the holidays. Members from this same group also join us on several Shabbatot throughout the year.
- The choir helps to lead the traditional High Holiday service, and rehearses once a week about 8-10 weeks prior to the holiday services. Throughout the year, the choir sings at special Shabbat services as well as at concerts around the area.
Rehearsals throughout the year vary depending on the need, the program and music, and the performance.
